Museum
The Inns of Court Regiment has had a Museum since the 1920s. It is now a fine modern Museum tracing its unusual history and predecessor units from 1584 through many conflicts right up to recent operations in Afghanistan. It is the only Regiment which has very close associations with London's legal profession. In addition to uniforms, weapons, medals and memorabilia there is an excellent archive, and possibly the oldest complete set of drums in the British Army presented to the Law Association Volunteers in 1803. The Museum welcomes contributions and visits from all those interested in the history of the Regiment. Visits and archival searches can be arranged by prior appointment through the Curator. School and larger parties are also welcome by prior appointment. Contact: Major Michael O'Beirne TD Curator, IC&CY Museum 10 Stone Buildings, Lincoln's Inn, London WC2A 3TG Telephone: 020 7405 8112 |
